Note: while some cut gems may look like architectural studs, you can easily differentiate by seeing if the print you are working on is designed for jewelry, such as hangers or pendants, or if it was meant to be part of a building, column, fountain, etc.

A hard, lustrous spherical mass, typically white or blueish-gray, formed within the shell of a pearl oyster and highly prized as a gem.

Note: most pearls in these prints will appear as hanging “beads”.
